Ironhill actively supports and promotes the sport of dressage in Alberta. In addition to sponsoring several individual awards, Ironhill also contributes to several shows and associations, including Gold sponsorship of both the Anderson Ranch Gold Show and of the Provincials in Red Deer.
The Irene Hill Memorial Bursary"Irene Hill Memorial Bursary In honour of Irene's generous spirit and passion for dressage, the CA/ADA is founding the Irene Hill Memorial Bursary. This Bursary is open to all Juniors and Young Riders that are current members of the CA/ADA. It is not necessary to be a part of the Young Rider program, but, to be eligible applicants must be between 14 and 21. The proceeds of this bursary may be used only to further the recipient's education in the sport of dressage. Congratulations to Irene Guenzel, the 2011 recipient of the Irene Hill Memorial Bursary." The Irene Hill Memorial Award"Ron Hill presented the inaugural award of $1000 on behalf of Ironhill Equestrian Centre. This award was presented to the Junior rider who had the top score from the Provincials combined with a Gold show score from this year. Julia Helland and Mystique of Sundre were honoured as the recipients of the award this year." |
